I finally got around to entering a few pieces into the Napa Valley Mustard Fesitval Photography Contest, held every year at Mumm's Winery in St. Helena. This is a prestigous event with hundreds of entries from both professional and amateur photographers. All pieces must be framed and there are strict rules regarding entries. To my surprise and delight, I received an Honorable Mention for one of my pieces, called Vineyard Sentinels - which is on my Fine Art page, (orange sky image). I'm really quite thrilled.
Starting March 17th, 2008, I will be showing 17 framed pieces at the Stave Wine Lounge on First Street in downtown Napa. Some of these 17 pieces are shown on the Limited Editions page.
Peju Province Winery in Napa Valley has three pieces for sale, matted and mounted in two sizes. They are also selling a large framed image of the "Tower", available on their website here, and in their gift shop at the winery itself.
Peju is also hosting a three-month exhibit of my work starting January 26th through April 23rd, 2008.
The Blue Heron Gallery, at the Vintage 1870 Marketplace in Yountville, CA, (halfway between Napa and St. Helena, for those not familiar with the area), are now exhibiting a nice selection of my large, framed, pieces, plus a bin with about 25 others in 16x20. Please stop by and peruse the gallery. There are several excellent artists work there, including fine art photogaphers, jewelry, paint on canvas, and some interesting metal sculpture, as well. This month - April, 2008 - I am the Featured Artist, with 15 framed pieces displayed at the gallery entranceway.
